The breakfast buffet each morning was outstanding! It featured a variety of delicious local and international options, making it a great start to the day.
There was no refrigerator in the room, which was inconvenient for storing snacks and drinks during our stay.

the noise during breakfast was just unbearable, absolutely not a relaxing start to the day. and can we talk about the fact that there’s no refrigerator in the room? who expects to go without on a vacation? i almost thought of giving a good review, but just couldn’t with these basic oversights.

The beautiful location and friendly staff made our stay quite pleasant, with clean rooms providing us a comfortable space. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring tasty American options and fresh fruit that delighted everyone in my family. However, the lack of a TV in the room was a bit disappointing, and we experienced some noise during breakfast due to large tour groups. Additionally, a refrigerator would have been useful for storing snacks.

Staying here was a nice experience after visiting the nearby Myvatn area. The room was clean and offered a comfortable private bathroom, which is a treat for budget travelers in Iceland. A standout for me was the breakfast spread. they had a great selection including cooked sausages and fresh bread, which set us up nicely for the day ahead. The hotel structure being a converted school also added a unique touch to our stay.

We enjoyed clean rooms with plenty of space for our large family, including our pet. The breakfast buffet was a hit with everyone, featuring fresh fruit and delicious options that kept our kids happy and energized for the day. The campus has a charming vibe, too.
In my wife’s opinion, more family-sized rooms would have made our stay even better.

Okay, so this place was, like, totally unique! It’s a summer hotel in a school, which is kind of weird, but cool. The beds were super comfy, and the breakfast spread was lit with cooked options! The whole vibe was, like, chill and friendly. The only bummer? No fridge in the room, but whatever.

The rooms were spacious, perfect for our group, and we really enjoyed the relaxing vibe around the campus. We visited amazing spots like Lake Mývatn and Húsavík for the whale watching! The staff was always ready to help, and we had fun playing cards in the lounge at night.
One evening, it got a little noisy with the large tour groups coming through, especially during breakfast. It was tough to enjoy the meal with all that commotion.

This place was a suitable option for a quick layover in Laugar, North Iceland, offering great value for the money. The spacious double dorm rooms were perfect for my group, even though basic amenities were limited. Plan to eat meals off-site, as dining options can be restricted during busy times.
